About Us

Hello, we are Jim & Dawn Ziarkowski, owners of K9 Country Club. We are a full-service dog boarding facility located in Waukesha, WI that serves Waukesha, New Berlin, Brookfield, Mukwonago and surrounding areas. Founded in 2017, K9 Country Club specializes in dog boarding and offers a variety of services that are tailored to your dog’s needs. We grew up with dogs and understand the importance of your furry family member! We have shared our dog enthusiasm for over 25 years and have significant experience with a lot of breeds to include German Shepherd, Malinois, Caucasian Shepherd, Czechoslovakian Vlcak (wolfdog), and many more. Our love and understanding of dogs made us a perfect fit to be kennel owners and we have 6 furry children of our own! Our goal is to make your dog feel at home through individual attention and love for each guest.

I just used K-9 Country Club for my 11 year-old GSD over the Christmas holiday while I was out of town visiting family. Because it was the first time using the facility, I was a bit nervous - especially with an older dog. Jim suggested that I bring Sophie for a meet and greet before her drop off day. This was an excellent idea. It gave Sophie a chance to explore the setting and to bond with Jim who is absolutely amazing! I messaged Jim while I was away to check in on her and he was quick to respond, which I greatly appreciated. When I greeted Sophie upon my return, she was happy to see me, but it was clear she had already developed a special relationship with Jim. She followed him around like a shadow while I was checking out. Anyone who has a GSD knows that’s a sure sign that a dog has bonded! I will definitely be using K-9 Country Club in the future. Jim clearly understands this breed of dog and especially the fact that she is an older dame! Thank you, Jim!

We have been bringing our 2 dogs to K9 Country Club for 2 years now anywhere from 3 nights to 2 weeks at a time and I know every time that they get the care they need. I’m able to leave them and feel confident that Jim knows how to handle one of my dogs who has some fear aggression. Love that my boys can be comfortable and stay in the same kennel together.

I have boarded my two German Shepherds several times over the last year for a couple of days and have been very pleased. The dogs love Jim and he understands working line shepherds.
