Hello, we are Jim & Dawn Ziarkowski, owners of K9 Country Club. We are a full-service dog boarding facility located in Waukesha, WI that serves Waukesha, New Berlin, Brookfield, Mukwonago and surrounding areas. Founded in 2017, K9 Country Club specializes in dog boarding and offers a variety of services that are tailored to your dog’s needs. We grew up with dogs and understand the importance of your furry family member! We have shared our dog enthusiasm for over 25 years and have significant experience with a lot of breeds to include German Shepherd, Malinois, Caucasian Shepherd, Czechoslovakian Vlcak (wolfdog), and many more. Our love and understanding of dogs made us a perfect fit to be kennel owners and we have 6 furry children of our own! Our goal is to make your dog feel at home through individual attention and love for each guest.

I apologize for the delay in writing this review, but I wanted to make sure I shared our wonderful experience. We had the pleasure of meeting Jim and Dawn when we dropped off our Collie, Oliver. We were visiting our son, who works at the Waukesha Public Museum, and we were immediately put at ease; they made us feel so welcome and comfortable leaving our precious pup in their care. Jim and my husband even bonded over their mutual interest in racing, which made the drop-off feel like catching up with an old friend! Despite not knowing us or Oliver, they took great care of him, and we were so relieved to receive such a positive "report card" at the end of the day. We are thrilled to have found this place and will surely be returning customers whenever we are back in the area.

I’ll start off with our dog has never been in a kennel or even left the house for more than a day. I contacted K9 country club and they said that there shouldn’t be a problem. I informed them she is also a boxer pit mix. That didn’t concern or intimidate them. I followed their directions about prepping for her week long stay. I also was able to bring her out once or twice to meet with the staff and get her acclimated to them. When I dropped her off, I was able to stay for 45 minutes to an hour with her, and then I took her into her kennel with her favorite toy and a blanket with our scent on it. We left on our trip and my wife would correspond with the owners once or twice a day and to help put my wife and I at ease. when I did drop her off, she initially did growl never biting anyone, but by the time we picked her up her and the owner were like best friends. She was just fine and really missed us. I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves their dog to take them there as they are extremely well-versed in dealing with all types of dogs with various backgrounds.

My super-high energy Dutch shepherd dog is VERRRY important to me and so I’m particular where and with who I leave her with. Jim and Dawn are GREAT dog people and my dog loves the care and attention she receives. I’ve boarded her from a few days to almost 2 weeks many times. She always comes back well cared for. These are honest, competent, and caring people - an increasingly rare find these days!

Jim to the rescue! A family member was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital and Jim was so helpful and took great care of Chewy during that time. Chewy has been there many times and has always been well taken care of - he is treated part like of the family! Chewy is always happy to return. They really go above and beyond.

I have a 100 pound Rottweiler and have been having trouble trying to find places for him to stay for boarding. I had found k9 country club very last minute and Jim was able to book him in with a couple days notice. I had mentioned to jim my male rottie can be more reactive/aggressive towards men. Jim wasn’t scared at all which made me the owner feel very happy leaving my dog in good hands. When I had picked him up after my dog being boarded for a week I was waiting for the “oh he growled or bit me” instead Jim went and got my dog and showed me how well they got along. Jim is very good with dogs and I’m so glad I found a kennel I can trust!!
